How to optimize WordPress for better performance?

WordPress is one of the most (if not the most) popular blog applications currently available.

Here are some tips on how to improve the performance of your WordPress blog:

  •  Optimize your WordPress database. You can do this using a plugin such as this one or you can do it directly from phpMyAdmin.
  •  Install a caching plugin such as WP-Cache or WP Super Cache.
  •  Check your website using this online tool. It will give you valuable information on what modifications can be made in order to improve its performance.
  •  Decrease the number of external and internal links on your pages. Leave only the most important ones.
