I have received a notification about updating my domain Whois information. What is this notification for?

It may happen that you receive a notification with one of the following subjects: “WHOIS Data Confirmation for yourdomainname.com” OR “Important Notice: Please Verify Contact Data for your Domain Name(s)”

These are email reminders to keep your domain name information up to date. The emails are sent from our partnering Domain Registrar on behalf of Hostlantern. Sending such reminders is a standard practice adopted by ICANN (The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) and all accredited registrars should comply with this procedure in order to help customers keep their domain ownership information accurate.

If your domain name information is accurate and up to date, you do not need to take any further actions. However, if you wish to update your domain information, all you need to do is to log in your Hostlantern Customer area and go to the domain name management section. From there, you can easily perform the necessary changes.

Please note that the domain name registrant information identifies you as the owner of the domain. This is why we always recommend keeping your domain name information up to date at all times.

If your domain name is not registered by Hostlantern, please contact your registrar for further information.

If you are not yet a customer, check out what our domain services include and how we can make your life easier. Managing your own domain is easy when you have the right host by your side.
