How do I change the FTP password?

In order to change the password for your main FTP account, you have to change the password for the cPanel itself, as both use the same login details. You have to go to:

Customer Area -> My Accounts -> Manage Account (next to the hosting account you want)

If you want to change the password for a secondary FTP account, find the cPanel Username label and hit theChange Password button next to it. Once you change the cPanel password for your account, the main FTP password will change too.

FTP is easy to set up and work with when you have the right host to support you. Check out what Hostlantern's FTP hosting offers and sign up for our services so you could rely on expert FTP assistance!
