Many web developers prefer the payments for their online shops to be handled directly by PayPal.
This can be easily completed with VirtueMart.
The Standard PayPal module will redirect the customers to the PayPal web site where secure transactions will be completed.
In order to enable the PayPal payment functionality open the Joomla administrator area->Components->VirtueMart->List Payment Methods. Select the check box besides PayPal and click on the Publish button. Click on the PayPal link to edit the payment module configuration.
Make sure that the selected option in Payment Method Form->Payment Method Type is "HTML-Form based (e.g. PayPal)". Save the changes in the PayPal configuration.
In this way at the end of the checkout procedure the customers will be redirected to the PayPal web site. There they can complete the payment for their purchase.
