The Recommend to a friend link in the products details pages can be enabled from the Joomla administrator area-> Components-> VirtueMart-> Admin-> Configuration-> Site-> Show the "Recommend to a friend" link?.
The predefined e-mail message can be altered by editing theadministrator/components/com_virtuemart/languages/common/english.php file.
