What are the sentry and support accounts on my Dedicated server for?

On SiteGround dedicated servers there are two system accounts - support.com with username support andsentry.com with username sentry.

These are system accounts that we created in order to monitor the server stability and to be alerted if any issue occurs.

They consume a minimum amount of resources and do not affect the server performance in any way. Please do not suspend/delete them.

You need help managing your dedicated server? We got it! SiteGround experts not only write helpful articles, but also manage the servers for our clients so they don’t have to read articles like this one.Learn more.
