How to edit the number of files shown per folder via FTP on my Dedicated server?

To change the number of files per folder you can view through FTP you must first login to your Dedicated server as root via SSH.

Next open the /etc/pure-ftpd.conf file with your favorite text editor. In this file locate the following line:

LimitRecursion  2000 8

The first number shows the number of files displayed and the second one shows the maximum subdirectories depth. Edit these values to suit your needs.

All you have to do next is to restart the PureFTP service. You can do this with the command below:

/etc/init.d/pure-ftpd restart
