How to point a secondary domain name to a subfolder on a SiteGround hosting account?

Every hosting account is supposed to be used only by one website and eventually several subdomain websites. For example, your main website will be accessible via domainname.com. If you have a blog you can access it using a subdomain name blog.domainname.com.

If you want to host another unique website, you need to either purchase a new hosting account or use the addon slot feature. Our control panel cPanel allows you to add a domain name as addon domain and host an additional website on your existing account. Now this is the really good part - an addon domain has the benefit of its very own URL, i.e. addondomain.com. So, anyone wanting to visit addondomain.com will see that very domain name in the address bar of their browser, so it's just like a separate web site. An addon domain uses the space and bandwidth of your main domain.

The addon domain name will open a separate website from a specific folder on your hosting account. It requires an addon slot which can be purchased from your Customer Area -> Order tab.

cPanel is easy to work with when you have the right host to support you. If you need a reliable partner to help you manage your website with cPanel, check out our cPanel hosting services!
