How to configure my Moodle to work with the server URL instead of my own domain name?

You have to make a minor change in the config.php file, that resides in the Moolde folder. Change the www_root directive to:

$CFG->www_root = 'serverip';

where serverip stands for the ip of the server where your account resides.
