Error: XML file is missing in package when installing a new item

Sometimes, when you try to install a new template/component/plugin/module in Joomla 1.5, you may get an error message for a missing xml file in the package. There are two common reasons for this error: The archive you are trying to install contains the actual installation package; i.e. there is an archive within the archive. The solution is simple - you should extract the archive and install the actual installation package. You are trying to install an item which is not compatible with Joomla 1.5. Again, the solution is simple - you should enable Legacy mode in your Joomla 1.5 and then proceed with the installation. Joomla is a powerful software that is easy to work with once you have the right host to support you. Before you lose any more time with the wrong host, check out the SiteGround Joomla hosting offer.
