Upgrading your VirtueMart Joomla component is quite easy and straight-forward.
First, you have to download the new VirtueMart package from the official website. Make sure you download theManual Installation Package for Joomla.
Then you should upload the package to your account.
The next step is to backup your website. Please make sure you backup your files and your database.
Once the backup is completed, you should extract the VirtueMart package in your Joomla directory. This will upgrade your VirtueMart files.
If the database needs updating, you will be prompted to do it when you go to your Joomla admin area > Components > VirtueMart.
