Every web master has different preferences regarding the order the online shop products should appear.
The products' sort order can be easily changed from the Joomla administrator area->Components->VirtueMart->Admin->Configuration->Site. Use the Default product sort order drop-down menu to pick the preferred default sort order.
You can also select the "sort-by" fields which will be shown in the shop's front end. Using these fields the visitors will be able to sort the products based on different criteria. The available fields can be selected in the Available "Sort-by" fields area.
Save the new configuration.
