Fantastico Error “You cannot install more than one script in the root directory of a domain”

The Fantastico automated installer is no longer included in our cPanel configuration and you won't be able to use it with your account. We have switched to a similar automated installer called Softaculous. More detailed information about it can be found in our Softaculous tutorial.

However, if you experience the problem on another hosting company's server, you can check the following instructions in order to see how you can avoid the error message:

If there is no script installed in the web root folder of your hosting account but you still get this error message it means that a previously installed script was not properly removed. In order to solve this issue you can do the following:

1. Log in cPanel and click on File Manager;

2. Navigate to .fantasticodata in your Home Directory;

3. Delete the file installed_in_root.php.

This will ensure there is no Fantastico information remaining from previous installations.
